What is sprint racing?

The prestige – sprint racing is an Olympic event.

The distances – 200m, 500m, 1000m, 3000m and 6000m. Racing is organised into classes graded according to ability, gender and age.

The courses – on flat sheltered lakes and rivers in marked lanes. Mainly held at the National Watersports Centre, Nottingham, although clubs run local regattas.

The boats – singles, doubles and fours in kayaks and canoes.

The river is once again on RED BOARDS This means NOBODY should be paddling using club equipment unless they have 3 star moving water skills. It also means ALL COACHED SESSIONS THIS EVENING ARE CANCELLED.
